The Magic Magicianess (Jodie Swales) has performed for more than 40 000 children throughout Australia and New Zealand. She has enthralled audiences in schools, festivals, fairs and children's birthday parties on the Sunshine Coast and in Brisbane with her infectious love of theatre, magic, puppetry and life.
Jodie has performed in cities, rural areas and remote regions. She has most recently performed her magic show at Club Med Lindeman Island, toured New Zealand and Australia with the internationally renowned David Poulton's Theatre of Puppets and worked as an actor and puppeteer throughout Queensland and Australia for the Queensland Arts Council.
In addition to having performed in over 300 schools, she has also performed at private parties, festivals, and city celebrations. Her show was selected from 1 400 applicants to be performed at the 2007/2008 Woodford Folk Festival.
Magicianess Magic Shows
The Magicianess Magic show is a delightful mix of magic, theatre, puppetry, storytelling and music. The show encourages children to value their individuality.
Each show includes lots of audience participation with a special appearance by a fluffy magic white rabbit (“Magic”) as well as a fantastic flying carpet that someone from the audience will get to float on.
The Magic Magicianess loves performing personalised magic shows and entertainment for children's birthday parties on the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane areas, interactive magic shows for childcare centres and unique shows for special events and celebrations.
